The father of ubiquitous computing Mark Weiser states that instrumental computing occurs in three scales; computing by inch(tabs), foot(pads) and yard(boards). Within those 3 scales the computer simply transforms into a tool and becomes a natural component of our physical world.
That’s why I’m so excited about iPad. It simply fits into the foot scale and gently disappears.
